Every rod is coated with a triple coat of UV protected finish for preventative break down.
Every guide is coated for a stronger hold in keeping the guides straight and from corrosion getting behind the thread.

Every rod is spined so the blank will not twist at the tip, allowing each hook set to have the power and response expected when fishing for that trophy.

Each blank is put through a rigorous flex test inspection to ensure there are no visible defects.
Following the build process each CastAway rod is put through a final inspection to provide the angler with a tool that will enhance each fishing experience.

The HG40 Titanium and HG40 Alconite are two additions for 2009. All excess weight has been cut from these model to make the new Skeleton the lightest rod on the market. Castaway’s new patent pending super-exposed reel seat puts you in contact with more rod blank so you can feel things you may have never felt before, even the slightest bump on your bait. The Skeleton also features the new Fuji concept guide system which has more guides then the standard system. Fuji’s new concept system increases sensitivity, “castability” and accuracy. The Skeleton incorporates solid titanium Fuji guides with SIC inserts, grade A cork for new handle design. No “bones” about it. Try a Skelton and at the end of the day you’ll be glad you did.
