The hottest technique in bass fishing right now has to be the controversial "Alabama Rigs."  After wins on both the FLW at Guntersville, and the FLW Everstart, the Alabama Rigs have been selling at an unbelievable rate. These versatile rigs can be fished with swimbaits, flukes, grubs, and just about anything else you prefer. We carry the Power Tackle Go Get 'em Rigs, and the Davis School Bus Rigs, with the Yumbrella rigs to in very soon. These muti-hook rigs mimic a school of baitfish and are sure to provoke the big bass. The umbrella rigs sell from 21.99-24.99. The umbrella like rigs feature 5 wire arms with swivels on the end, and different color shad lures on the front. They are best when used with 50-65lb braid. The rigs will take a little practice using, but after a few casts you should be on your way to catching plenty of huge bass. These types of rigs are illegal in some states so be sure to check your local laws before using.

Quantum has raised the bar on lightweight baitcast reels with their new EXO reels. They shedded weight in all non-critical areas resulting in the lightest possible reel. They managed to do all this without sacrificing any strength or performance. They achieved this by concentrating on the "Metal Where it Matters" approach. The new exoskeletal hybrid construction combines a special, ultra-rigid aluminum alloy in the load-bearing areas, and a lightweight composite in the non-critical areas, resulting in a reel that weighs a mere 5.9 oz.And if you think these reels lost strength in this process think again because the Quantum EXO reels are 38% stronger than magnesium and 6 times stronger than a graphite composite frame. There are three models available, the EX100SPT with a 6.6:1 gear ratio, the EX100HPT a high speed 7.3:1, and the EX100PPT a 5.4:1 ratio. 249.95 ea. For a limited time get a Free Quantum Tour Jersey with the purchase of any Quantum Smoke or EXO product. (from the manufacturer). The Quantum EXO reel will make a great addition to your fishing tackle arsenal. Look for the QUantum EXO Rods coming soon!
